Linking you to greater opportunities

Teacher Training

“Interlink” and Peace Corps Instructors provided an “Interactive Methods of Teaching” Training course for the teachers and volunteers working at the “SOS Children’s Villages” Sumqayit Education Support Center. The course consisted of 10 sessions and provided the participants with the opportunity to not only learn about the target practices, but also experience them during the course of the instruction. The participants were also guided to apply newly acquired knowledge in their own teaching practice. At the end of the course they developed a sample lesson and taught it to their colleagues. All the participants successfully completed the course.

Childen's Party

Interlink kids worked hard the whole school year at learning English. To reward their efforts Interlink teachers and American students had an ‘End of the Year Party’ for the young English learners. The kids had their faces painted, had fun playing many games, got lots of prizes, had lots of pictures taken and at the end ate ice-cream. Now they keep asking when the next party is going to take place.

American Friends

In May, ten American University students came to visit Azerbaijan. The purpose of their visit was to find out more about Azerbaijan and it’s culture. The American young people stayed in Azerbaijan for ten days and participated in teaching English at Interlink, held Conversation Clubs and went on an excursion to the mountains with Azerbaijani students. During the time of their visit American young people were quickly able to become friends with Azerbaijani youth and enjoyed famous Azerbaijani hospitality. American students loved their trip so much that they all would like to come back to Azerbaijan again!
